Abstract

Empathy is the ability to understand and feel the feelings of others without having to actually come into the person's feelings and responses. The low ability of empathy in students can lead to them a sense of indifference and result in a lack of empathy and concern for the other students and the surrounding environment, one of which can lead to bullying behavior. Psychodrama becomes one of the intervention methods that can be used in increasing the empathy of bullying perpetrators towards peers in elementary school students. The purpose of this study is to increase the empathy of bullying perpetrators against peers in elementary school students. This research is a quasi experiment research with using two control group pretest posttest design. This study used 16 subjects divided into 2 groups, those are experimental group and control group wich is using empathy scale for measurement. The analysis used Paired Sample T Test and Mann Whitney test. The results showed that Paired Sample T Test (p = 0,305) and Mann Whitney test (p = 0,636). From these results it can be concluded that psychodrama can not increase empathy perpetrators bullying against peers in elementary school students.
