Abstract

Bacterial wilt disease is a major disease in physic nut (Jatropha curcas L.). This disorder disease can lower the production both in quantity as well as quality. Bacterial wilt disease caused by the bacterium Ralstonia solanacearum is bacteria soilborne deases. the disease In the field is easily spread through soil, irrigation water and garden equipment infection. Infection of this disease starts from rooting plants through wounds or point to the emergence of a secondary root, infecting the root cortex, and then enter xilem duct. After the xilem, the bacteria multiply and move rapidly up through the vascular system of the plant, causing wilting and eventual plant death. Roots emit root exudate that one of which serves as an antidote to compound (cofitoalexsin mpound) against pathogenic bacteria.This research aims to obtain information about the ability of root exudate extract of 6 genotip (Jatropha curcas l.) in inhibiting the establishment of bacterial wilt disease (Ralstonia solanacearum) by the test antibacterial activity. An experiment uses the split plot dsign. The main plot is the concentration of the root exudate extract from physic nut (Jatropha curcas L.) i.e. K1 = K2 = 20% 40% 60% K3 = K4 = 80% K5 = 100%. Sub plot is roots exudate extract of physic nut genotip (Jatropha curcas L.) i.e. G1 = 5-1-14 (SP8 x SP-16), G2 = 6-2-10 (SP8 x SP-38), G3 = 7-2-8 (SP-x HS 33-49), G4 = 18-1-14 (SM-35 x SP-38), G5 = IP 3 A, G6 = IP-3 p, negative control (akuades) and positive control (Chloramphenicol 5%). All treatment is repeated as many as 3 times and thus obtained a 5 x 8 x 3 = 120 units of experiments that are grown in nutrient agar media on petridish. Variable observations include the diameter of the zones, resistance response, antibacterial effectiveness, concentration correlation with the diameter of the zones, genotip correlation with the diameter of the zones and documentation of test resultsThe results showed that extracts from the plant root exudate genotip of physic nut (5.1.14, 6.2.10, 7.2.8 18.1.14, IP3A, and IP3P) are able to inhibit the growth of bacteria Ralstonia solanacearum with weak i.e. belongs to the resistance's response < 5 mm and there is not difference in ability on every konesentrasi 0%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100%.
