Abstract

Shallots are one of the results of agricultural commodities that are needed by the Indonesian people. The selling price of shallots is also high because the supply is reduced outside the season. In order to increase the production of shallots, organic fertilizer, especially vermicompost fertilizer, can be used. Kascing fertilizer is an organic fertilizer that contains high nutrients. the lack of utilization of soybean-based industrial organic waste can be used as a feed for lumbricus worms in vermicomposting processes, including soybean seed husk waste (KABK) The purpose of the study was to determine the interaction between vermicompost (the percentage of the husk of soybean seeds as a worm feed ingredient) with the dose on the onion plant. The study was conducted at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang Experimental Garden in September to December 2016. The study used Random Complete Block Design (RCBD) which was arranged in factorial consisting of two factors and repeated 3 times. The first factor is the composition of waste vermicompost fertilizer from soybean seed husk: cow manure consists of 3 levels B1 = 100% Soybean husk B2 = 100% manure K3 = 50%: 50% and the second factor is the dose of kascing fertilizer consists of 3 level D1 = 0t / ha, D2 = 7.5t / ha, D3 = 15t / ha. Observation variables included number of leaves, plant height, leaf area, plant wet weight, plant dry weight, number of tillers, number of tubers per plant, dry weight per harvested tuber, wet weight of harvested plants, dry weight of harvested plants, dry weight of tubers per crop , diameter of tubers. The results showed that the composition of vermicompost material (the percentage of soybean seed husk as a worm feed ingredient) with the dosage of onion plants tended to be better at 100% manure treatment (B2) with a dose of 15 t / ha (D3) for the wet weight of the plant. number of tillers, weight of planting tubers, weight per tuber, wet weight of harvested plants, number of tubers, dry weight of harvested plants. However, each treatment had no significant effect on the number of leaves, plant height, leaf area, number of tillers, wet weight, dry weight, number of tubers per clump, wet weight of tubers per hill, dry weight per tuber, diameter of tubers, dry weight of tubers per clump.
