Abstract

Potato productivity in Indonesia on 2015 was 18,20 ton/hectare with 1.219.270 ton/hectare in total production, from 66.938 hectare cultivation area. The result considered relatively low compared to other potato producing countries (BPS, 2016). Shoots cutting are vegetative propagation using part of potato plants, young shoots. Shoots cutting is one of many way to multiply potato plants in order to increase production. This research aims to review the response on Kultivar Madisu Ap-4 potato shoot cutting growth to addition of Bioroot and joint amount of shoot cutting. This research arranged using Randomized Complete Block Design with 2 factors, repeated for three times. First factors is Bioroots variety consisted of three levels; B-a = Bioroot A; B-b = Bioroot B; B-c = bioroot C, second factor is the amount of jointts consisted of three levels; JR1 = 1 joint; JR2 = 2 joints; JR3 = 3 joints. Observation variable included when the roots appeared, shoot length accretion, increase number of leaf, stem diameter and root length. Observation data were analyzed using orthogonal contrast for treatment test vs control. F Test used to detect varieties, if there were varieties from treatment data analyzing will be continued using BNJ 5% level Test.Research result showed that there were interaction between Bioroot varieties and joint amount to potato cutting shoots when root appeared and root length, meanwhile there were no interaction on shoot length growth, leafs accretions and stem diameter. Ba-JR3 treatment gave the fastest number with 6,56 days in average on when root appeared and longest root length with 9,57 cm in average.
