Abstract

Long bean plants in Indonesia have wide genetic diversity. Nevertheless, long peanut production from farmers is still relatively low. According to Kuswanto (2002) that if the contribution of long beans in vegetable composition reaches 10%, it needs about 763,200 ton / ha / th fresh pod, while the production of long bean in 2009 reaches 483,793 Ton / ha / yearr, in 2010 489,449 ton / ha / year, in 2011 458,307 ton / ha / year, and in 2012 reached 457,489 ton / ha / year, so by looking at productivity number of bean every year so long bean production is still needs to be improved. The results obtained by long beans show that in the best lowlands than the medium and high plains. The potential of long bean strains on the plains of the medium needs to be increased in order to increase the yield.The purpose of this research is to know the potential of long bean strain in middle plains. The research was conducted in Mulyoagung Village, Dau District, Malang Regency, East Java, with altitude of 560 mdpl place was conducted in August - October 2016. The research using Randomized Block Design (RCBD) with 14 treatments was repeated 3 times on each treatment with the following treatment. Based on the results of the research, high long-term peanut strains from several observation paragons are number of pods, pod length, pod weight and number of seeds are Bagong 2 and Asri.
