Abstract

There is a fact that students have difficulties on understanding lenght unit measurement material due to lack of interest. Hence, this is important to get a media that can explain well the material. Therefore, this research was purposed to; 1) develop Lift Berhitung learning media for lenght unit measurement material for 4th graders, and 2) obtain a valid, practical and interesting learning media of Lift Berhitung for lenght unit measurement material for 4th graders. The research used ADDIE approach that contains Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects of the research were 4th graders of SDN Purwantoro 2, material experts, media experts and learning experts.The data collection used scale assesments to know the validity, practicality and attractiveness of Lift Berhitung media. Meanwhile, the research instruments used to collect the data were observation, interview, validation questionnaire and validation response from students. The data analyses used descriptive-qualitative and quantitative method. The qualitative result was obtained from observation, feedback from validators and students’ response toward the media. Then, the quantitative result was obtained from scores given by the validators with 1-4 scale and students’ response using ‘Yes or No’ scale. The result of the study after using ADDIE approach revealed 1) Lift Berhitung media result that contained lenght unit measurement material, 2) the validity of the media was feasible with scores from material experts at 93,18%, media experts at 98,07% and learning experts at 98,61%. Then, the practicality of the media was scored at 98,61% which could be concluded this media was feasible to be used as a learning media according to curriculum and the content of the material. Meanwhile, the attractiveness aspect according to small group implementation was scored at 93,75% and the implementation to the class was scored at 95,16%. Hence, the media was categorized very attractive to be used as a learning media for 4th graders. The practicality was obtain from a validation of learning experts that was scored 98,61%.
