Abstract

Liquid waste biogas can be utilized as the addition of nutrients to the plant. However, the elements contained in biogas wastes need detailed reviewers because the nutrients are not yet clear and the sludge from the biogas waste is too thick so dilution is required to be absorbed by the plant. This study aims to determine the nutritional content contained in the biogas wastewater generated and determine the effectiveness of the influence of concentration and frequency of biogas liquid waste on shallot plants. The research was conducted in rice field located in Research conducted in Experiment Garden of Faculty of Animal Husbandry with altitude about 560 meters above sea surface with rainfall ± 1000-1500 mm / year and daily average temperature is 23oC and Agronomy Laboratory of University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The execution time is from October 2016 until December 2016. The study used a Group Random Design arranged in orthogonal contrast with 2 factors. Factor I, Liquid Fertilizer Concentration (K) while Factor II Frequency of Giving (F). Treatment was repeated 3 times with plant population each treatment as much as 5 so it needed 90 plants. Number of samples 3 per treatment. The initial activity of the research is the process of dilution of biogas liquid waste, nutrient content analysis test consisting of macro and micro nutrients. Further preparation of media, planting, application, plant maintenance, and observation. The observations made on shallot plant include: plant height (cm), number of leaf (strands), leaf area per plant (cm2), fresh weight of plant (g), fresh weight of tuber (g), tuber diameter (cm), dry weight plant (g) and dry weight of tubers (g). The result of laboratory analysis on nutrient content shows that the biogas liquid waste produced is lower than the standard of fertilizer organic fertilizer. The results showed the effect of concentration treatment and frequency of biogas liquid waste on vegetative growth variables only interaction in growth variable of leaf number of age 44 HST. Although there was no interaction, the results of the appeal of all observed variables showed a development in plant growth. Based on the results of the analysis of the variance always shows that is treated better than those not treated (control). In generative growth variables showed the influence of concentration treatment and frequency of biogas liquid waste interaction occurred on fresh weight of plant, fresh weight of tuber, tuber amount, dry weight of plant, and dry weight of tuber. Except for the observation of tuber diameter.
