Abstract

The teaching materials consist of a systematic learning objectives explanation, enabling the students to participate in the learning completely. Module is one form of teaching materials that are packed in a complete and systematic. It contains a set of planned learning experience and designed to help learners master specific learning objectives. Hands On Activity-based learning is a model designed to get students involved in digging information, asking, doing activities, finding, collecting data, analyzing and making their own conclusions. The purpose of this study develops and produces Hands On Activity Resource Learning Module on Respiratory System Material on Grade VIII Students of SMP / MTS, explaining the validation of content or material, appearance and readability of Hands On Activity Learning Science. Module Respiratory System Material at Grade VIII SMP / MTS in terms of preparation of learning modules and effectiveness of implementation. The development model used is ADDIE model include: Analyze in the form of problem analysis, needs analysis of learners. The Design is a formulation of competence, strategy. The Develop is in the form of teaching materials, assessment. The Implement is in the form of face to face, assessment. The Evaluate is the improvement learning program. The result of observation conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Dau Malang at grade 8 with 72 respondents from 3 classes A, B, and C. The preferred learning source 70,8% as print media (book, module, LKPD), 19,4 % choose electronic media (PPT, Video), 9,72% props, 9.72% original source (animal, plant). The module needs to help the learning process as much as 80.5% states "yes", and 19.4% states "no". The learning source used by the teacher on the respiratory system material is 0% choosing PPT, 59,6% choose package book, 34,7% LKPD, and 5,55% module. Based on validation and trials conducted by media experts, material experts, and teachers indicate that the module is included in the valid category with the percentage of assessment in a row with the percentage of 85.7%, 86.8%, 95.3%. In terms of legibility of modules is very valid of category with the percentage of small-scale testing 87%, large scale 92, 24. Therefore, the module is very feasible to use and have high legibility.
