Abstract

In fact, student’s emotional intelligence does not seem good yet. The purpose of the research was to examine the correlation between Full Day School implementation and student’s emotional intelligence at SD Muhammadiyah 3 ICP Sumberrejo in Bojonegoro Regency. This research applied quantitative design with associative approach. The population was 106 students from the third grade to the fifth grade at SD Muhammadiyah 3 Sumberrejo of academic year 2017-2018. The researcher involved 60 students from the third grade to the fifth grade using random sampling technique. The data were collected using questionnaire and interview. The results of the research showed that (1) Pearson correlation yields 0.276 indicating directly proportional (X increased as well as Y) and positive correlation; and (2) the correlation between Full Day School implementation and student’s emotional intelligence shows coefficient value (r) 0.276 with significance (p) 0.033. These results also showed that there is a positive correlation (r > 0.0) and significance (p) between Full Day School implementation and student’s emotional intelligence. In short, Full Day School implementation positively influenced student’s emotional intelligence at SD Muhammadiyah 3 ICP Sumberrejo in Bojonegoro Regency.
