Abstract

Long bean plant (Vigna sinensis L.) is one of the vegetable commodities that has the potential to be developed, because it has a high economic value. Long beans can be consumed in fresh form or processed into vegetables. In an effort to improve community nutrition, long beans are important as a source of vitamins and minerals. Based on national agricultural statistics, the average production of long bean plants in Indonesia in 2010 was 489,449 tons, and decreased by 31,142% in 2011, namely with an average production of 458,307 tons (Ministry of Agriculture, 2012). Many of the problems faced by long bean farmers that cause long bean production to decline include climate, superior seeds, fertilizers and pest diseases. Therefore, efforts to increase the productivity of long beans need to be continued through proper cultivation of plants, namely fertilization.This research was conducted in Jetis Village, Malang Regency, East Java. When the research began on July 12 - September 2016 or for 3 months the experimental design used was Factorial Randomized Block Design. The treatment is as follows: Long bean strain consisting of three levels, namely GM 19 (G1), GM 23 (G2), GM 25 (G3), NPK Fertilizer consisting of four levels, namely 0 grams (P0), 6 grams (P1), 12 grams (P2), 18 grams (P3). The treatment was repeated 3 times with the plant population of each treatment as many as 36 plants with the number of samples per treatment 8 plants so that it needed 1152 plants. Parameters observed in this study include: flower age (50% flowering), age of harvest, number of planting pods, planting pod weight, number of seeds and length of pods.There is a real interaction between long bean strains and NPK fertilizer dosage on the pod length parameters. There are better pod yields in the treatments G1P0, G1P2, G1P3, G2P0, G2P2, G2P3, G3P2 and G3P3. Strain treatment gave results that were significantly different in the parameters of the number of pods and parameters of pod weight. In the treatment of NPK fertilizer was not significantly different in the parameters of age of flowering, age of harvest, number of pods, pod weight and number of seeds.
