Abstract

This qualitative research is based on the lack of the meta-synthesis research which conducted in the Department of Primary Teacher Education. In addition, this research is actually necessary for the students' source. This thesis will present all result conclusions from 3-dimension learning media development thesis which were done by the UMM Department of Primary Teacher Education students from year 2013-2017. Therefore, this research can help to improve the progress of the development of learning media in the following years. This study aims to describe (1) media type, (2) data collection technique, (3) research model, (4) research method, (5) research subject, (6) product trial, (7) validation test, 8) the use of the learning subjects, (9) data analysis techniques and (10) the characteristics of students who were in the Undergraduate Student Primary Teacher Education Department, UMM who made their thesis about the development of 3-dimensional learning media. This research applied qualitative research approach with descriptive research type that conducted in UMM’s campus 3 digital library (digilib). The research procedure used in this research was referring to Rahardjo's opinion which consists of pre-field stage, field stage and post-field stage. To check the validity of data, researcher was using Peer Debriefing technique. The results of this research indicated that (1) all data development of instructional media used by researcher is the data that produce instructional media in the form of 3 dimension media, (2) data collection technique used in all research is observation, interview, questionnaire and documentation, but there are 2 theses data collection technique that used test, (3) the most used research model is procedural model with Borg and Gall theory, but there are 2 theses that used models from ADDIE and Hannafin and Peck, (4) the average method that used is research and development (R & D) method, (5) there are plenty of thesis data which used research subjects at class I to class VI. However, there is still no thesis data that used the subjects of grade VI students, (6) product testing is mostly done with small group trials and large group trials, but there are 2 thesis data that used classical media trials, (7) test validity is mostly done to media experts, material experts and learning experts (8) for the learning subject, there is still no thesis data that develops the media with Indonesian subjects, local content and Civic in the subject units, (9) All data analysis techniques used qualitative descriptive and quantitative analysis, and (10) there is only 1 thesis that develops special instructional media for slow learner students.
