Abstract

There are four pillars in education; namely learning to know is a learning process made to make the students tp obtain a wide knowledge, especially on basic sciences that will be used in the future; learning to do is a learning process leading to competence aspects, in this matter students are expected to be able to apply anything they have learned; learning to be is a learning process emphasizing students’ potentials in line with their talents and interests and learning to live is a learning process that may produce students with abilities to live peacefully, tolerantly, and cooperatively. Any efforts to empower teacher professionalism are made by improving four compentences: pedagogic, professional, social and personal.
