Abstract

In activity of production machine would be out of order in the uncertain time. More often the damage would be, so that is would increase the maintenance expense and decrease the value of reliable. To reduce it would be done replacement because the replacement accrues the expense so the replacement interval the optimally. PR”369” is a company that produces cigarette. The problems has been faced is how to determine time interval replacement optimal planning at machine component of Mollins with expense of minimum replacement and by considering component reliability level so that production process can walk at ease. The objective of this research was to obtained time range of critical component replacement at Mollins machine optimally and reduce cost of component replacement. To determine optimal replacement interval can use reliable technique method by Replacement Age model. The step are to find out time data distribution use statgraph software, determining solid function of probability, reliable machine, the rate of damage of machine, calculation of MTTF, MTTR, MTTDT. Time interval replacement of optimal component, and total cost is minimum use matchad software. By applying Age Replacement model, determination of replacement range critical component proposed able to be applied at the firm to reduce cost of component replacement. By this model had determined replacement range to both of component namely 22 and 18 days by each mainstay level of 0,784 to timing belt and 0,753 to clothing band so that during period 2006 – 2007 there was economizing on cost 44.559.432 rupiahs with old c (tp) 60.520.872 rupiahs and new c (tp) 15.961.440 rupiahs to timing belt component and economizing on cost 62.203.799 rupiahs with old c (tp) 80.332.679 rupiahs and new c (tp) 18.128.880 rupiahs to clothing band component.
