Abstract
No doubt the child is a national asset that needs serious attention. Because the child is the next generation and at the same time a pillar of the ideals of the nation. Children are also a source of human development that has the position, function and strategic role in the survival of the nation. Every man needs other people in his life, so with a child who desperately need other people, especially parents who can help develop themselves and meet their needs. Needs that must be met in moral development, attitudes, and social adjustment among other physical needs, namely food, beverages, clothing, shelter, and psychological needs, such as a sense of security, affection, touch, caress, a hug or a compliment. Basic needs and secure a child first be obtained from their parents, the fathers and mothers in family unity harmonis.Dalam everyday life, can be found that shy children (less active), moody, aggressive, not confidence, but also there active, cheerful, confident, and not too aggressive. The differences are related to the sense of security that affect the development of a child. Given the importance of safety and security needs in child care and measures to attract the attention of child development so that the writer to examine more deeply and held it to be a theme issue of "Safety Needs Children abandoned at Parent Working Abroad." This study aims to determine whether compliance with safety and security needs has been achieved in children abandoned by their parents work abroad. The study was a descriptive qualitative research, with the object of study of primary school age children in the ATS "Milky Way" Stone. The subjects of this study as many as two children who are in ATS "Milky Way" Stone. The instruments used were interviews and participant observation. Analysis of the data used is descriptive data analysis. Based on the results of this study concluded that the safety and security needs are not met properly, meaning that the emotional bond between children and parents who can provide the proximity and make parent figure as a basic sense of security (secure base) to interact with the environment is not obtained by the child.
