Abstract

Decoration plants is commodity which has high economic value and very prospective to be cultured. Besides, decoration plants also to be income of agribusiness, provider of job vacancy and economic leader in the region. Thus, DKI Jakarta attempt to cultivation decoration plants and the result shows high growth so that it suitable with the growth of DKI Jakarta as center of economic. The biggest flower marketing center in Jakarta is at UPT Promotion and Marketing Flower Center Rawa Belong. The location of this Flower Market is at border between West Jakarta and South Jakarta City, as administrative this region is at Jl. Sulaeman No. 50 North Sukabumi village, Kebon Jeruk Sub-district, West Jakarta City. In this area is sold any kind of cutting flower and decoration plants. In the growth, this market would be biggest mall flower in Jakarta. The development process of that place is still running. The explanation and information above are matters to be background of this research “Review of Prospect and Potency Various Cutting Flower at UPT Promotion and Marketing of Forest and Agriculture Produced Center (P3HPHH)”. The objectives of this research are: 1) Knowing selling volume trend, average price and selling turnover of various cutting flower at UPT Promotion and Marketing of Forest and Agriculture Produced Center; 2) Knowing supplier various cutting flower exist at UPT Promotion and Marketing of Forest and Agriculture Produced Center; and 3) Knowing potency and prospect of various cutting flower at UPT Promotion and Marketing of Forest and Agriculture Produced Center. Determination of research location was conducted as purposive at Technique Organizer Unit (UPT) of Promotion and Marketing of Forest and Agriculture Produced Center (P3HPHH) the exactly place in North Sukabumi village, West Jakarta. The research location was determined by consideration of UPT Promotion and Marketing of Forest and Agriculture Produced Center (P3HPHH) is biggest flower marketing center in DKI Jakarta. Data used in this research by secondary data. The secondary data was data obtained directly from the source that was from officer of Technique Organizer Unit (UPT) Promotion and Marketing of Forest and Agriculture Produced Center (P3HPHH). The secondary data was time series data of selling any kind of cutting flower since July 2004 to May 2008. Selling data was selling volume, average prices and selling turnover. The way to take data was by data recording. Data analysis method used was trend and descriptive analysis. The way to analysis data uses excel method. From the research result, shows that various cutting flower would be descend. This caused by produced of various cutting flower going down because of climate change so that it cause supply amount to trader at UPT Promotion and Marketing of Forest and Agriculture Produced Center also going down. This descent also caused by consumer needed toward various cutting flower which secondary needed because consumer make more important main needed than bought various cutting flower. Besides, descent of mountain flower as external was affected by geographical location of flower market that’s not well because if raining would be flood. But, if based on various type of cutting flower, that was mountain flower, orchid and complementary leaf would be increase selling volume, average prices and selling turnover. Whereas, various cutting flower that would be increase was Lely, Pikok and Solidago from mountain flower type. Whereas from orchid was moon orchid and from complementary leaf there was no has prospect to increase selling volume. Then, various cutting flower that would be increase the average prices that was Sedap Malam, Gladiol, Ros Cipanas, Rosida, Magrid and Balloon flower from mountain flower types, whereas from orchid tipes was Magie Oie and moon orchid. From complementary leaf that was Asparagus, Yellow Palem, Florida, Ruskus, Papirus, Pakis, Jamaika, Three Color, Morea, Green pure, Red pure, Redondong, Antrium leaf, Kadaka and Buntut Bajing. Various cutting flower would be increase selling turnover that was Pikok, Solidago whereas from orchid was moon orchid and from complementary leaf type was Buntut Bajing. This shows that some of various cutting flower had prospect in the future. There was some market segment of various cutting flower, like florist, catering, office, hotel, and personal. It shows that effort of various cutting flower still had potency and prospect to be developed. Potential consumer of various cutting flower particularly comes from catering. After that, others potential consumer comes from office, hotel and personal. The florist was consumer for farmer so that various cutting flower able to change to potential consumer. The supplier of various cutting flower especially comes from West Java. Besides, supplier of various cutting flower also comes from Middle Java, DKI Jakarta, Banten and East Java.
