The intent and purpose of this research is to study the influence of interaction between color caps and watering interval on seed germination and seedling growth of Teak (Tectona grandis Linn. F). This research was conducted at the village nursery land Semanding Tuban in East Java province which is located at an altitude of 300 meters above sea level. The experiment began in December 2009 until March 2010. This research was conducted using a randomized block design (RBD) factorial, consisting of two factors and three times ulangan.Faktor I is the color of caps (S), consists of three levels, namely: So (white caps), S1 (lid color red), S2 (blue lid). The second factor is the frequency of watering (I), which consists of the three levels, namely: I0 (Watering once a day), I1 (Watering two days), I2 (3 Watering every other day). The parameters used were observations of seed germination (%), the rate of germination (day), the value of germination (day), height of seedlings (cm), seedling stem diameter (mm), number of leaves (leaves), root length (cm), weight wet seeding (grams), seedling dry weight (grams). Observation data were analyzed according to a randomized block design (RBD), Factorial analysis results are tested using the F test with a level of 5%. To compare among the treatments with one another treatment used Duncan test at 5% level. From the analysis of variance, the result of interaction of combined treatment with the frequency of watering lid color (SI) of the parameters observed in germination of seeds, germination rate, seedling height observed 35 dap age, number of leaves observed 35 dap old seedlings, seedling root length, wet weight and seedling dry weight, while for the real impact of lid color parameter (S), appeared at the age of 35 dap observation parameters, semair root length, wet weight and dry weight of seedlings. The result of the real impact on lid color parameters (S), analysis of variance was obtained at the rate of germination, high seedling age of 35 dap. The result of the real impact on watering frequency parameter (I), obtained by analysis of variance on seed germination and fresh weight. Concluded that the white caps with a frequency of watering two times a day gives the best results on germination of seeds, germination rate, the value of germination, seedling stem diameter, fresh weight and dry weight compared with other treatment combinations. Doing teak nursery suggested using white caps with a frequency of watering two times a day. It is necessary to study more about how much influence the color of caps and watering frequency on seed germination and seedling growth of teak (Tectona grandis Linn. F). We recommend more attention to the cost that is used to obtain more effective results on the use of some kinds of applications for the manufacture of color lid seedbed teak (T. grandis Linn. F).
