Belleslettres (novella) was also said as tools of educated and development humanity attitudes. Belleslettres such as novella contains education values that useful for the reader. It means that belleslettres presence always bring many contents, including education. The problem is there are many readers of belleslettres still can not dig values there in belleslettres, so that meaning of values contain inside it need high interpretation sensitivity. Research about “The Analysis of Educative Value in Edensor Novella created by Andrea Hirata” was back grounded that basically belleslettres represent standard expression from what to be watched, listened, learned, felt and contemplated by people in their life. From that explanation can be concluded about relation between belleslettres with educative value, that’s in belleslettres there was educative values as message delivered by author to reader in order to increase and educate to the positive direction. In general, this research objective is to obtain description about education value contain in Edensor novella created by Andrea Hirata, especially to describe devotional among human being, life togetherness, fair to parents, life braveness, life realistically, life simplicity and honesty. Data in this research formed as dialogue explanation or text there in Edensor novella created by Andrea Hirata. Data has been obtained and then analyzed by quantitative method, because this research generated explanation or data image. The analysis result was conducted can be concluded that social education value involve, a) devotional among human being that was indicated by Ikal who compassionate saw Weh, Ikal tries to amuse, asked to talk, and willing to broke his money box to buy radio for Weh, b) life togetherness was indicated by Ikal Arai, they keep, protect and cooperate each other, maintain togetherness, c) fair to parents, Ikal and Arai struggle, sacrifice to fulfill expectation and aspiration of their parents, can make prosperous their village community. Value of personality education as follows, a) life braveness, brave to take risk and face every challenge, that’s attitude of Ikal and Arai. They conquer every danger and ordeal. Be optimistic and never give up, b) life realistically of Ikal’s family and Arai always be grateful to God and lead a life or God destiny coolly, sincere without confrontation, c) life simplicity, that’s mirror of Ikal and Arai family, their life look so beautiful, peace, quiet because they’re not excessive, more and more than somebody else, d) honesty, didn’t lie and damage the others for progression and advantage him self. The family of Ikal and Arai is a family that can be good example for community. Therefore, by this research was expected can be useful and add insight of reader and another researcher as education literature. Researcher hopes that iv community can give priority to education or knowledge in order to Indonesian can be more progressive nation .
