Abstract

In learning process there are some methodologies. Presentation is the one of teaching method. Students are required to present the material in front of the audiences related to the topic given by the lecturer in the class. However, this method is very challenging for some students who are not confident. This research was focused on the students' presentation method conducted and the responses of students towards presentation in TEFL class E 4th semester English Language Education Department UMM. The qualitative research design was chosen in this research. The subjects were 22 students as the sample in E class 4th semester English Language Education Department UMM. Furthermore, the writer used observation notes and questionnaire as the instruments to collect the data. The writer found that this presentation method ran properly. Before presenting, presenters did a basic preparation, set the presentation content, and prepared presentation tools. The writer also found good responses of the students toward this presentation method. This presentation method could give a chance for the presenters to present their knowledge and tried to be more confident to speak in front of the class. The presenters tried to deliver the material with their own way and creativity such as making an interesting power point. This also encoureged the presenters to prepare the material before attending the class.
