Abstract

Keyword : Curriculum Policy, KBK, KTSP, and Kurikulum 2013, To provide a good system of education, there are four elements that play important role in building a good system of education, they are; students, facilities, teacher, and curriculum. Curriculum is one of the most acknowledged elements by the government and citizen. The Indonesian curriculum sometimes is considered by students and teacher as an inconsistent matter due to its frequency of changes. It brings the confusion or lack of mastering the new curriculum for teacher and students. As the result, itwertthh will bring the inefficiency of result on student that they will not be able to get the maximum result in education. Therefore, based that consideration this study was formulated to know what the teachers opinion about curriculum in Indonesia, to know how the point of view of teacher in every curriculum policy, and to know wheter teachers expectation was represented or not in every curriculum policy. TeacherÂ’s perception of curriculum is the interpretation of what is sensed about the curriculum which is implemented in the school. The perception of curriculum is important because it deals with how to decide whether the school should implement the curriculum or not. The research design of this study was descriptive because this research investigated certain group of people about certain opinions by using interview to gather information. The sample in this study consisted of two teachers who taught in all graders of SMA Negeri Pronojiwo Lumajang. After analyzing the data, it was found that the teachers expressed their opinions that the change of curriculum policy in Indonesia was an effort of government to look for the best solution for education problems in Indonesia. However, they felt little bit uncomfortable because they needed more time to adapt with the new curriculum. They argued that KTSP was the most suitable curriculum to implement in schools, especially, in SMA Negeri Pronojiwo. The teachers expected that the curriculum should not be equalized nor prevailed in every school, but it should be suited with their own need were not fully represented. In addition, both teachers felt that their expectation in education was almost fully represented in KTSP curriculum, but unfortunately, KTSP curriculum has not implemented.
