Presentation is one of the techniques in speaking class with the purpose to develop ability to clearly express the ideas or thought in front of other people in the class. However, the students still have difficulties in speaking class presentation. This study aimed to know the linguistic difficulties faced by fourth semester students in speaking class presentation and the ways taken by the teacher in solving students’ linguistic difficulties in speaking class presentation. This research used descriptive qualitative. The subject of this study was one class of speaking 4 of English Department, who was taught by teacher code 42.They were selected because the presentation was done in this class before midterm test. The data were collected by observing the students when having presentation in class and interviewing speaking 4 lecturer. The data were analyzed descriptively. The finding showed that the students faced two major linguistic difficulties in speaking class presentation, namely pronunciation and English sentence construction. In pronunciation, they faced difficulties in pronouncing some English words and sentences. In addition in English sentence construction they have difficulties in constructing the right English sentences. In this case, most of the students used Indonesian expression first and then translated into English. However, the speaking lecturer had some ways to solve those linguistics difficulties. To solve pronunciation difficulties, the teacher corrected directly during the presentation. To solve English sentence construction difficulties, teacher corrected after the presentation finished.
