Abstract
Stainlesless steel is a material whose high quality is now used for some products in tools and industry because it has good ability to extent and hold corosi. (www.jindalstainless.com). The purpose of this study is to know the influent of differencies the las materials extention toward the hardness and micro structure. This study uesd the experimental and the literature study method. It means that the test, the observation, and the research were directly in objects. The steps of this research were: making instrument test, testing, dietsa, observating the miscro structure, testing the hardness, and taking the data. Stainless stell of JSL AUS (J1) contains 0.08% C, 6.0-8.0% Mn, 0.06% P, 0.01% S, 0.075% Si, 16.0-18.0% Cr, 4.0-6.0% Ni, 0.10% N, 2.0-4.0% Cu and stainless stell of j304 contains 0.07% C, 2.00% Mn, 0.045% P, 0.030% S, 0.075% Si, 17.5%-19.5% Cr, 8.00%-10.00% Ni, and 0.10% N. (www.jindalstainless.com). The result of this study by using the rockwell hardness showed that there is no differences between three kind of areas toward two kinds of different materials given toward the quality of hardness JSL AUS stainless steel and J304, it means the value of hardness of metal base stainless material J304 is better than JSL AUS. Whereas, the analysis of different materials got a hardness different between three areas toward two materials given toward the hardness stainless JSL AUS and J304.
