Potato is one of horticulture plant which its tuber was consumed; in society was well-known as tuber vegetable. Carbohydrate contain caused potato could subtitute (replace) the other carbohydrate food came from rice, corn, and wheat. Potato included into world five main food, beside wheat, corn, rice, and wheat flour. The major part of potato which became food material was tuber. Beside, potato tuber is a carbohydrate source with high mineral vitamin. Although the potato was not main food, but the consumer was increasing. It was showed by the development of farm processing industry which processed potato, that made the potato demand also increasing. But in recent time, unfriendly nature condition caused by global warming, uncertain climate has effected the potato farmer in Tengger Mountain region, especially in Ngadisari village, Sukapura sub-district, Probolinggo residence. So that there was so many farmer has decreased their production value caused by uncertain climate. The research purpose were : (1) to find out the effect of climate change into potato production in Ngadisari village Sukapura sub-district, Probolinggo residence; (2) to find out the effect of climate change into cost and potato farm profit in Ngadisari village Sukapura sub-district, Probolinggo Residence. Research region was done in purposive, that was in Ngadisari village Sukapura sub-district, Probolinggo Residence. The location was done by several consideration like: (1) the region is one of the potato production center in East Java Highland; (2) in Ngadisari village Sukapura sub-district Probolinggo Residence was a region with strong culture; (3) in Ngadisari village Sukapura sub-district Probolinggo Residence located in high land and one of the village with high farm unit, especially vegetables. Data collection technique used Snowball Sampling. Data collection used were: 1) Questionnaire, 2) Observation, and 3) interview. While data kind used were: (1) primary and (2) secondary data. Data analysis method used in this research was qualitative descriptive, beside the research was explorative research. Climate change effected plant pattern of the farmer. Irregular plant pattern would effected social-economic condition of society. Climate change would bring effect to production cost at potato farm in Ngadisari village Sukapura sub-district Probolinggo residence. Unfriendly nature factor would bring change into variable cost of potato farm production. There proven in 2004 plant season, the average of potato production was Rp 13.295.760/Ha and 2010 plant season was Rp 27.275.679/Ha. Climate change effected potato production at Ngadisari village Sukapura sub-district Probolinggo residence. It showed by average potato production in 2004 (before climate change) was 14.165Kg/Ha, larger than average potato production in 2010 (after climate change) for 0.580Kg/Ha.. From farm calculation between 2004 (year before climate change) with 2010 (year after climate change), there seen that climate change effected profit in farm in Ngadisari village Sukapura sub-district Probolinggo residence. It showed by average of potato farm profit in 2004 which was Rp 22.665.540/Ha larger than 2010 which was Rp 3.717.105/Ha. Climate change is the major inhibition for the farmer to do potato farm. If the climate irregular, it would influenced the quality of seed, plant disease, maintenance, farmer plant pattern, and the other variable that effected end production and potato farmer income.
