Abstract
The political situation in Bangkok, Thailand is widely discussed and is currently the center for
various international media. Thailand places the monarchy as a position that can be said to be indispensable
among people’s lives. The provisions of the Lèse-Majesté law are used for regimes in power to control freedom
of expression. A widespread crackdown on free speech online provides an opportunity to curb criticism of the
opposition but can also undermine the credibility of Thailand’s authoritarian monarchy laws. This study aims to
describe the movement against monarchical law in Thailand carried out by the Future Forward Party (FFP). The
conceptual foundation used is about social movements with the qualitatif descriptive research methods through
the literature studies on scientific literature. The results of the research explain that the Future Forward Party
(FFP) is a the pro-democratic party that opposes the Lèse-Majesté law in Thailand. The party’s movement was
then followed by student and community movements in large-scale demonstrations aimed at ending a government
power and limiting the power of a king. The increasing number of teenagers participating in this action became
the most prominent thing in the pro-democracy movement.
