The changing behavior among adolescent may easily happen these days. Rapid development in many fields of this era has big contribution for this phenomenon. The easiness to find entertainment spot such as café, the advancement of recent technology, and modern facilities such as salons, restaurant, fitness center, etc; lead some adolescent to behave consumptively, and this phenomenon has already became lifestyle for them. The research problem of this study are : 1) How did café affect the adolescent’s consumptive behavior. 2) What is the reason of adolescent/freshmen student come up to café in Malang. The objectives of this study are : 1) To know the relationship between activities in café and consumptive behavior of adolescent. 2) To know the reason why freshmen student come up to Café in Malang. This research method of this study is descriptive qualitative with taxonomy method which means research method that has intention to explore and clarify a phenomenon or social fact by describing some variable related to unit and problem being researched. Subject being examined as the main information sources are the owner of the café, customer café, and member of staff of café. They are acquired accidentally or without any paln, some customer are just directly selected at the moment. By observasing the customer, start from their appearance: the way they dress up, the way they talk, and the way they communicate with their group or stranger. Then the writer does some interview with some customer by questioning and answering to know deeper the influence of café toward adolescent’s consumptive behavior. The result are : 1) Consumptive behavior appear because of hang out behavior of adolescent in café; consumptive behavior on food, body treatment, health care, in the form of electronic product, branded products, discount, and vehicles. 2) The reason why adolescent come up to café; besides their to follow pop culture, a culture that appear from industrialization and commercialization that are capable to shift the native culture exit in the society; just temporary and usually easily to be replaced by more interesting pop culture wich is adored by many people (forgetting process), are: a) Café as place for relaxing after the whole day activity, café is main choice to release weary and tired. b) Café as business filed, so many people looking for this café business, since the customer are from many classes of society and the advantages obtained are so interesting and exciting. Café is also capable as place for business meeting, look for working partner, etc. c) Café as place for increasing prestige and lifestyle. The activity abd interaction within café will arouse human prestige or social status by wearing glamour, modern, up-to-date appearance. Enthusiasm of society to always follow the up-to-date development of this era is done to increase prestige, lifestyle, and to get social status.
