Abstract

The role of human resources becomes crucial in achieving organizational goals; however, risks arise if the quality of human resources is inadequate. This research focuses on the phenomenon of Counterproductive Work Behavior (CWB) in Company X, involving misconduct such as indiscipline, negligence, and theft. Factors such as organizational justice, employee performance, work environment, and leadership are identified as potential influences on CWB. Additionally, the role of emotional intelligence in the workplace is considered important due to its association with employee performance, leadership effectiveness, and its role in reducing counterproductive work behavior. The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of organizational justice and emotional intelligence on CWB among employees. The research method employed is quantitative with a correlational approach, and data analysis is conducted using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that organizational justice and emotional intelligence significantly influence CWB, with significance values of 0.011 and an F-value of 4.544. The magnitude of the influence of organizational justice and emotional intelligence on CWB is 3.2%, while the remaining 96.8% is influenced by factors beyond the variables under investigation. These findings provide insights for human resource management and strategies for preventing CWB in the workplace.
