Craft as an opportunity to work and opportunities for rural communities, is considered very important parallel with changes in the various fields in the rural community life caused by the change of era, population, smaller agriculture mastery and changes in the value of the life of society. Craft, both as a caricature of art craft and handicraft industry works whatever its form, has been able to contribute to infrastructure needs of human life, mentally and physically, sometimes even human beings can bring pride and bringing prosperity. The objective of this research are: to determine the added value given to craft making in the island of Komodo dragons, to know the benefits of handicraft production on the island of Komodo dragons statues, to know marketing of Komodo statue handicraft on the island of Komodo dragons This study uses data collection methods which include primary and secondary data. The primary data obtained through interviews and observations by the secondary data while the secondary data obtained from the craftsmen sculpture dragons. Analysis of the data used in this study is the analysis of value added. From this research we can know the added value produced by the statue of dragons that have size of 50 cm, 30 cm, 25 cm during the two months amounted to IDR. 30,991,287 with an average price per seed IDR. 1.2045 million USD and wage labor. Gain 1.8189 million IDR. 28,808,607 with a profit rate of 92.95%. Marketing crafts sculpture dragons using short-chain channels and even direct distribution channels.
