Abstract

Company excellence hardly base on its the ability in reaching optimal work productivity. To reach employee work productivity who expected, hence company need to study factor influencing that is motivation of achievement. Company must be able to comprehend behavior of employee and pays attention to motivation of achievement owned by employee to can know how big employee work productivity. Motivation of achievement is a requirement to give achievement exceling standard. Work productivity is job activity result which has been reached by individual in the form of goods or service to reach better quality from yesterday. By increasing high work productivity of someone will do something in an optimal fashion because expecting better result from the standard. Motivation of achievement is the independent variable of this research while work produvtivity stands as dependent. This research population is Kancatel Sidoarjo entire employees. Sampling technique used is a population study technique, whereas 30 people contribute as samples. Karl Person’s correlation procedure - product moment, is used for validity test. Validity index for motivation of achievement scale is 0,243 – 0,669 while work productivity has 0,243 – 0,711. Alpha Cronbach technique is used as instrument reliability test which results 0,676 alpha value for motivation of achievement scale and 0,914 for work productivity scale. This research discovers that there’s a significant positive relationship between employee’s motivation of achievement and work productivity, whereas the value of correlation coefficient (r) = 0,681 and probability (p) = 0,000. This means employees with a low motivation of achievement tend to own a low work productivity. So is the opposite, high motivation of achievement employees tend to own a high work productivity. 46,4% is the effective contribution of motivation of achievement to work productivity and 53,4% is the rest of other variables haven’t been researched.
