Abstract

In general, a crew is described as a figure who has shortcomings, but there are some limitations, but the crew with them could fit in, not relented in the face of challenges and difficulties of life by developing even to excel, and they are called a resilient crew. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that affect adolescents with special needs achieve resilience. This study used descriptive qualitative approach to data collection using the interview method in which the resilient crew and checking the validity of the data by triangulation of sources. The subjects used in this study are 3 adolescent with special needs who have the achievement. The final conclusion is that the factors that influence the resilience third subject is a positive appraisal of self and others that is the attitude of pride and not inferior to himself, feeling loved by the people around him, can please others, independent and responsible (I Am). In addition there are the family and surrounding community in this respect neighbors, teachers and friends of the subject that gives a good spirit and the acceptance and support to develop the skills and continue to strive to be the best like normal people even more. There are also those who have home rule and model followed (I Have). Besides the three subjects capable of regulation / control your emotions and understand the condition of another person, able to resolve the problem by communicating / tell what is felt to the people trusted (I Can).
