The spirit of concern of UMM students in Portugal to various disasters in Indonesia was evidently still very strong. Chairman of the Indonesian Students Association in Portugal, Puji Sumarsono, brought friends to raise money for flood victims in Wasior, tsunami in Mentawai and Merapi eruption. Puji is student of UMM Masters Program and participant of Erasmus Mundus student exchange program who is studying in Portugal for one semester ahead. Together with Reza Praditya Yuda who is also undergraduate student of Communications Science at UMM, in Portugal Puji and his friends also invited to pray together. In a release sent via email, Reza reported that the funds which had been collected were now reaching Rp. 6.888 million. "All will be distributed through the Indonesian Red Cross," Reza said in her release yesterday (11/10).
