Abstract

Character education in the Merdeka Curriculum is formed in the Project of Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila (P5) activity. The implementation of P5 activities is adjusted to the autonomy of each school. SDN Tulusrejo 3 Malang implements P5 activities by applying the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach. This research aims to find out: (1) The application of the CRT approach in planning P5 at SDN Tulusrejo 3 Malang, (2) The application of the CRT approach in implementing P5 at SDN Tulusrejo 3 Malang, and (3) The application of the CRT approach in evaluating P5 at SDN Tulusrejo 3 Malang.
This research uses qualitative research and the type of research conducted is descriptive. This research was conducted at SDN Tulusrejo 3 Malang which focused on grade I teachers, grade IV teachers, and grade I and IV students. In its implementation, researchers conducted observation, interviews and documentation
activities in obtaining data. Analysis of research data through four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity checking uses two techniques, namely source triangulation and technique triangulation.
The results of the research obtained are known in grades I and IV at SDN Tulusrejo 3 Malang have implemented the CRT approach in P5. The theme used at SDN Tulusrejo 3 Malang is the theme of Sustainable Lifestyle. All stages in P5 activities apply the characteristics of the CRT approach. SDN Tulusrejo 3 Malang
implements P5 activities that link activities with culture-integrated learning. In addition, the evaluation of P5 activities is carried out at the end of the activity.
