Abstract

A total of 20 volunteers from the United States (U.S.) who joined the Peace Corps have been preparing to study at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). For three months they will learn the language and culture of Indonesia before later teaching at the senior high school/vocational high schools in East Java. They will focus on improving learning and teaching English in secondary schools, especially in remote areas of East Java.
