Abstract

Keywords: EMPLOYEE TRAINING ROOM DEPARTMENT DIVISION Changes in internal and ksternal a industripariwisata very fast, especially the demand of society in quality service. Hospitality should be able to provide services in accordance with desired by the guests who stay, in order to achieve that goal, companies must manage their human resources in a professional manner and using such a way that can efficiently and effectively. Malang city itself, growing tourism industry rapidly and supported the establishment of the hotels as a means of lodging for visitors who enter kekota Malang, both domestic tourists and foreign tourists. This greatly helped the people of Malang in getting jobs, particularly in the field of hospitality. Kusuma Agro Stone Hotel is a hotel that combines the concept of agribusiness to tourism as a whole and is surrounded mountains such as Mount Arjuno, Welirang mountain, mountain Panderman, Suket mountain, and Mount Pearl, so this hotel has the cool weather and beautiful views. The hotel also has 152 rooms which consists of 103 standard rooms and 49 luxurious rooms. The rooms are located in a number of cottages with superior class, deluxe, junior suites, and executive cottages. All rooms are equipped with a private terrace, a comfortable bed, bathroom with hot water and cold water, direct telephone line, TV with various channels ranging from indovision and film programs. In addition to room service for 24 hours, another advantage of this hotel which has many facilities such as apple plantation, jogging tracks, tennis court, swimming pool, billiard tables and a playground for children, and others. And during the evening, Kusuma Agro Hotel Stone provides entertainment in the form of music performances and karaoke. Not just a hotel, the Hotel Kusuma Agro is a hotel located in the middle of strawberry plantations, coffee, apples and oranges 17 hectares. There the visitor can also do various activities such as fishing, cycling, jogging, and horseback riding around the hotel. Kusuma Agro Hotel Stone also provides a wide selection of convention space. Hibiscus Hall is a great choice for all occasions. While Amarillis Hall suitable for party events and meetings. There are also a number of meeting rooms namely Cempaka Room, Carnation, Hibiscus, Anthorium, and Anthorium VIP. According Heidjrachman, et al (1990:77), meaning exercise is an activity to improve the ability of a person in relation to economic activity. Exercise helps employees understand a practical knowledge and pengetrapannya, in order to enhance the skills, abilities and attitudes required by the organization in business achieve its objectives. The success of any training can be seen from the Job Performance of each employee. Work performance is the result of the quality and quantity of work achieved by an employee in performing their duties in accordance with the responsibilities given to him. By As'ad (1984:58), which meant the size of the work performance of work performance rendered by employees can be met if they are given the opportunity to develop their skills in accordance with job n da talent. So here work performance will improve if the company conduct training for its employees in the interest of the company itself. The importance of training in this study is due to increase and develop the skills and knowledge of employees in the job. According to Drs. Faustino Cardoso Gomes (1995:197) said that training is an attempt to improve performance on a particular job is the responsibility or a job that has to do with his job. Meanwhile, according to Wexley and Yukl Mangkunegara in his book (2001:43) training is a term associated with planning efforts organized to achieve mastery of skills, knowledge and attitudes of employees. Equipped also with references from Rini Indrayati (2008:16) that if a company wants its employees work performance is maintained even to increase, it is necessary to do the training. So with the training, will improve employees' ability and skill in doing his job. Employees Kusuma Agro Hotel Stone tried to provide the best service and better yet in the face of consumers as a form of spirit to achieve progress and success of the company. Number of existing competition in the hospitality field today, the management is expected to anticipate this by improving the training program more leverage. In the event Kusuma Agro Hotel Stone, all employees from all divisions have a very good performance and is always increasing, especially in his Department Room Division. This is because Room Division employees at the Department are always dealing directly with the guests and have a great responsibility in this instance welcome guest, offering rooms, serving the reservation, noting check in and check out, providing information to guests about the facilities and advantages of the hotel, maintaining cleanliness and comfort of room, serving every need and desire of the guests, and others. Training is conducted at the Department employees Division Room at Kusuma Agro Hotel Stone is keeping a friendly attitude, hearted, polite and courteous to guests. Train employees to monitor the smooth implementation of the provisions of your check in and check out room reservation, ludge handing and information service. Train employees in disciplinary duties and responsibilities in accordance with the job. Train employees in analyzing and evaluating the use of guest supplies and cleaning supplies, etc.. The training is held every 1 months. Though Kusuma Agro Hotel, Stone has to be said that luxury hotels and almost no shortage, but the management always tried to do the training to their employees to avoid any deterioration in performance. The decline was such employee are not careful in handling the problems OSes pr Room Dispancy, less friendly in welcoming and serving guests, not meticulous in preparing the draft budget of the Front Office, and others. And performance that has been granted by the Department employees Division Room to Kusuma Agro Hotel Stone is an employee has have the ability in skill with others, especially to the guests, always put the interests of firms, creative in all aspects of work, have a high trust, can provide good ideas, neat and meticulous in doing his job, and others. Training by Gary Dessler (1997: 263) is "the process of teaching new employees or existing, basic skills they need to perform their jobs. " Meanwhile, according to John R. Schermerhorn, Jr. (1999: 323), training is a "series of activities that provide opportunities to acquire and improve job-related skills. Employees, both new or who already work need training because of the demands of work and subject to change due to changes in the work environment, strategy, and so forth. Many employees who crave the opportunity to grow and thrive in the company. Employees can achieve it through his training and development. The success of each program of training and development company depends on the interest shown by top management. Top management support is important because management attitudes will seep down and affect employees at other levels of the organization. So also have been done by Kusuma Agro Hotel Stone to all employees who have accomplished is by attention to the lives of employees are realized by providing an adequate salary, attractive incentives and benefits adequate as employees' social security fund (social security) and trans transportation for employees (employee shuttle), adequate facilities and sufficient and maintain a familiar relationship with its employees.
