In teaching Bahasa Indonesia to non-native Bahasa Indonesia speakers, the teacher needs techniques as tools in presenting the material in order to increase studentÂ’s interest and achieved the goal of language learning. Knowing the appropriate techniques of teaching speaking of Bahasa Indonesia to Darmasiswa students is important because it can make the teaching learning process more effective and the goal of the learning and teaching the target language can be achieved. This research was intended to know the techniques applied in teaching speaking of Bahasa Indonesia for Darmasiswa students. Besides, the purpose of this research is to explore and describe the problems faced by the teacher in applying the technique and how the teacher solves those problems. The research design used in this research was descriptive qualitative because the researcher wanted to explore, describe and know more about the techniques applied.
