Abstract

Digitality level is position or degree of value in the condition of living in a digital culture. The students use technology as part of their life and they have already mastered and applied into everyday use. Digitality level is very important in teaching learning process at a school, because it is very useful for student to study. The students use technology at school as computer, mobile phone or internet media to develop their ability in education and increase their knowledge. Students have capability to get information very fast, so they can complete their assignment that is given by the teacher. For the teachers, knowing the digitality levels of students is very useful in teaching, because they can use method that appropriate with students. This study was conducted to know the digitality levels of high school students in MA Muhammadiyah 01 Malang. The research design of this study was descriptive quantitative research. The population of this study is all of the students of MA Muhammadiyah 01 Malang. The sample of this study was taken by using simple random sampling and the result is XI-IPS/BAHASA grade to be sample that consisted of 24 students of MA Muhammadiyah 01 Malang. To collect the data, the researcher used rating scale as the instrument. The finding of the research was the mean score of the digitality levels of senior high school students at MA Muhammadiyah 01 Malang was 80.4. The result of the rating scale showed that there were 7 students (35%) who got score between 85 up to 100 (Very High). 10 students (50%) got score between 70 up to 84; it means that they were categorized in “High”. Then, 3 students (15%) got score 55 up to 69 which means that they were categorized in “Fair”. No students got score between 40 up to 54 (Low), and no students got score 0 up to 39 (Very Low).
