Abstract

Suspension System or action spring is functioning to lessen and permeates vibrations and convulsion during vehicle runs, especially at road. Leaf Spring be one of back suspension type adopted at various vehicle types, between it is Jeep Wrangler TJ Rubicon. (Source: Library of center UNIKOM, 2006). Intention of writing of this end duty is to get big of maximum tension and maximum deflection happened at lamellar spring Jeep Wrangler TJ Rubicon. This research done with observation method and study literature, with data analysis by the way of simulation applies software ANSYS 8.0. Result of simulation by entering burden 2337, 14 Newton at frequency 1-20 Hertz’s yields maximum tension 0, 10741 × 107 Pascal’s with maximum deflection 0, 471 × 10-5 m. In general big maximum tension and maximum deflection happened still be under material permission tension, so that this lamellar spring still is safe to be used.
