Abstract

A total of 20 volunteers from the United States who joined United State Peace Corps chose to study Indonesian language and culture at University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). This was confirmed after the coordinator of the US Peace Corp, Kenneth A Puvak and his staff, surveyed several campuses in East Java for a month. "Finally we chose UMM because the campus is more comfortable and fit with the feel we want to train our volunteers," said Puvak. He said he admitted that he had surveyed almost the entire campuses in Surabaya and Malang.
