Background:Hemorrhagic stroke is a type of stroke that often lead to death, stroke also causes disability. It is known that hyperlipidemia is an important factor in the pathophysiology of atherosclerosis and stroke. HMG CoA reductase inhibitors (statins) has the potential neuroprotective effects on the central nervous system disorder in addition to its effect in lowering cholesterol. Objectives : To know the pattern about use of statins related to the type, dose, and duration on hemorrhagic stroke inpatient at RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang Method: This was an descriptive-observational study withretrospective method using hemorrhagic stroke inpatient records during period 2012. Results and Conclusions : 420 samples obtained from 51 samples in accordance with the inclusion criteria, namely women (72.5%) and men (27.5%), most commonly in the age range of 50-69 years (51%). Therapy of statin used was simvastatin (100%) is administrated via the oral route with a dose range of 10-40 mg daily. Prolonged use of simvastatin at most that 6-10 days.
