Abstract

STUDY OF THE USE ANTIBIOTIC CEPHALOSPORIN GROUP IN INFECTION PATIENTS IN URINARY TRACT Research In Inpatients Hospital Of Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang Background : Urinary tract infection (UTI) is an infection caused by a proliferation of microorganisms in the urinary tract, which in normal urine contains no bacteria, viruses or other microorganisms. Urinary Tract Infection is divided into two categories, nosocomial infection and community infections. This infection can be categorized as symptomatic or asymptomatic. Generally Urinary Tract Infection caused by gram-negative. Escherichia coli is the most common cause in both the symptomatic and asymptomatic is 70-90%. Another cause is the bacteria Klebsiella pneumoniae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. In patients with complication, of Urinary Tract Infection be given early therapies group fluoroquinolon intravena, aminoglikosida with or without ampicillin or broad spectrum Cephalosporin with or without an aminoglikosida. Objectives: The aims of the study determine patterns the use of cephalosporin in patients UTIs and examine is cephalosporin antibiotic therapy related to a given dose, route of administration, duration and timing of administration are associated with clinical and laboratory data in Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang Hospital. Methods: The research is a observational study retrospective in patients UTI from 1 January to 31 December 2011. Result & Conclusion : Of the 40 patients obtained single antibiotics 64,0%, Combination of two antibiotics is 31,5%, and a combination of three antibiotic 4,5%. Single antibiotic is widely used third-generation cephalosporin group is 70.3%, and the type most widely used antibiotics in this group was 59.6% Ceftriaxone.
