This study was conducted to describe the problems and the solutions of the linguistic problems faced by the students in teaching practice of English for young learner. By knowing these problems and their solution, it is expected that the result of this study will be used as the basis of English teaching for young learner. Moreover, it is expected to help the students solve their linguistic problems in their practice teaching. In conducting the research, the writer used a descriptive research to obtain the information related to the linguistic problems in practice teaching. The subjects of this study were thirteen students who conducted the practice teaching for five meetings. The researchers chose the five and six grades class, namely Joy class. The main instrument used to collect the data was questionnaire and supported by interview and observation. The data were collected by giving the questionnaire to the students, informal interview and observation for five meeting in class. And finally, the writer analyzed the data descriptively. The result of research showed that the linguistic problems included following aspects: pronunciation, structure, vocabulary, dialect, language style and culture background. The main linguistic problem was vocabulary. The sources of the problems came from internal and external factors. For example, they lacked of practice, lacked of reading English text, and lacked of memorizing ability. The other factor was their status as the multilingualism. Meanwhile the differences of culture background also influenced the students in mastering vocabulary. However, most of them were able to solve the problems because during practice teaching they taught by practicing team teaching. Therefore, every student knew their problems and English ability. Finally, they tound the solution concerning with pronunciation, structure, vocabulary, dialect, language style and culture background. For example: reading texts or articles written in English, practicing how to pronounce correctly, learning the structure book and trying to apply in exercise, creating a new concept that is easy to understand, trying to minimize his or her dialect in speaking English, practicing speaking in front of the mirror.
