The movie Green Street Hooligan actually attempts to give a moment of entertainment, but it does not escape from the content of moral and social messages. Research highlights these messages by questioning the frequency of these messages’ presentation in this movie. To achieve this goal requires the author to understand the definition of these messages. Moral Message will be those containing teaching or education about good or bad of our attitude, behavior and duty. It can be said as the mental condition stimulating one into courage, enthusiasm and passion. It also teaches about morality, sensibleness, and politeness that usually based on legend or history. Social Message may be those accommodating all things related to human relationship, directly or indirectly through associations such as family, community, and state. It elaborates the critical posture against world opinions and ideologies, or talks about the obligation and responsibility of human being for their life environment. The author collects the data from the observed movie by examining the smallest unit of a movie, called per-scene. From this per-scene, the author obtains the data of action and dialog with social and moral messages. The collected data will be subjected to the analysis, called content analysis. Kerlinger (1986) quoted in Roger D. Wimmer and Joseph R. Dominick (2003) insists that content analysis refers to a research method to measure some variables in manner of systematic and objective. Data collected find a way to enter the table. This table explains the frequency of the emergence of moral and social messages. The author uses this table to determine moral and social messages based on its subcategory. The data entry must be calculated through the formulation selected by the author. Data processing and formulation by author indicate the followingresults. The most frequent social message to be shown constitutes friendship category by frequency of 42 scenes (51.85 %). It has been followed byrespect category by frequency of 23 scenes (28.39 %). The last rank seems ccupied by harmony category by frequency of 16 scenes (19.75 %). Moral message becomes evident through self-confident category in the action or dialog by frequency of 21 scenes (41.17 %). Second rank of this message refers to wisdom category by frequency of 18 scenes (35.28 %), as followed in third by self-control category by frequency of 12 scenes (12.23 %). Therefore, the author may conclude that the movie Green Street Hooligan may provide social message more often than moral message.
