Abstract

This research is motivated by the Ministry of Education and Culture's policy Number 56/M/2022 so that there is a need for an analysis of the independent curriculum policy used by teachers in schools as a form of consideration for the national curriculum. The first aim of this research is to describe the suitability of the teacher teaching module components with independent synchronization. The second aim of this research is to describe the implementation of independent curriculum teaching modules for mathematics teachers in schools. The subjects in this research were two mathematics teachers at SMP PGRI 01 BATU for the 2023/2024 academic year. This research was conducted descriptively qualitatively using data analysis consisting of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation with observation sheet and interview sheet instruments. The research results show that in the learning planning aspect, the teaching module components that have been prepared by the mathematics teacher at SMP PGRI 01 BATU are in accordance with the teaching module components in the independent curriculum. The implementation of the independent curriculum teaching module is seen from two aspects, namely aspects of learning implementation and learning assessment. In the aspect of implementing learning, the two mathematics teachers have implemented learning based on the independent curriculum, namely learning using the Problem Based Learning model, focusing on essential material, differentiated learning and 4C learning. In the assessment aspect, the two mathematics teachers have assessed attitudes, knowledge and skills based on the independent curriculum.
