Abstract

Language crimes often occur in Indonesia involving many people, especially from civil society, artists and law enforcers. This research aims to describe the forms of language crimes and the legal perspective of language crimes in the murder case of Brigadier J. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The data source is a transcription on YouTube. The data used are events, sentences, paragraphs, words contained in video transcriptions of the prosecutor's demands, witness testimony, Ferdy Sambo's defense, Putri's defense, and the judge's decision. Data collection techniques include document study techniques and note-taking techniques. The results of the research are 20 data on forms of language crime and 20 data on the legal perspective of language crime. There were 6 forms of language crime, namely 2 forms of hate speech data, 6 forms of fake news/hoax data, 1 form of incitement data, 7 forms of conspiracy data, 2 forms of threat data, and 1 form of false testimony data. From the legal perspective of language crimes, 2 data on hate speech article 28 paragraph 2 were found, 6 data on fake news/hoaxes in Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1 of 1946 concerning Criminal Law Regulations article 15, 1 data on incitement to article 160 of the Criminal Code, 7 data on conspiracy article 55 Criminal Code, 2 threat data of Article 368 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code, and 1 data of false testimony under Article 242 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
