Abstract
Background : Febrile seizure problems are one of neurological disorder which is often occurring in toddler, and about 80% among them with simple febrile seizure. This syndrome to happened at 2%4% children population on age 6 month to 5 years old. The comment cause of simple febrile seizure is 75% because infected. Purpose : The aim of the study is to know the prevalence cause of simple febrile seizure patients in pediatric ward Saiful Anwar hospital, Malang, from January December 2008. Method: This is a retrospective descriptive study. A Data was taken from medical records of neurology patients in pediatric ward Saiful Anwar hospital, Malang, from January December 2008. Result: The proportion of simple febrile seizure from 72 patients was the common cause of simple febrile seizure were 55 children (76,3%%) ISPA, 9 children (12,5%) gastroenteritis, 3 children (4,2%) tropic disease, 3 children (4,2%) UTI, and 2 children (2,8%) stomatitis. Conclusion: Of 72 children has simple febrile seizure which in hospitalized toddler at RS Saiful Anwar Malang. The common cause of simple febrile seizure problems are ISPA of 55 children (76,3%).
