In the production activity in PT Eternal Barindo board AutoTech has problems with production processes that are ineffective and inefficient due to frequent occurrence of material that waited too long to be processed at one work station, and also still frequent occurrence of defective products. For that we need a strategy to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the production process, one method that can be used is with the approach of Lean Production by identifying the waste-waste (waste) ie activities that do not produce added value in the production process itself, to then be given a proposed improvement to minimize such waste. From the research that has been done, it can be identified 2 types of waste which the most influential of the 7 types of waste, namely defect with a value of 2.142 or 25% weighting and the waiting is 1.714 or 18%. After weighting the results are known then the next result is used to find detailed value stream by using VALSAT (Value Stream Analysis Tools), because every mapping tools related to the suitability of each waste. From the data processing was elected two tools namely PAM (Process Activity Mapping) to identify the activity of the production process and QFM (Quality Filter Mapping) to identify the percentage of known defects that ultimately there are 3 types of defects are: wrong size, curved, uneven surface. Of the types of waste are then conducted a search of potential causes of the most dominant of waste through the brainstorming process and questionnaire, which is described by Ishikawa diagram tool.
