Abstract

The purpose of this reseach is to examine the resistance of some Bradyrhizobium japonicum isolates from agroforestry system and the shelter toward soybeans ( Glycine max (L.) Merill ). This research was performed at the Universitas Muhammadidah Malang Green House located in Tegal Gondo with altitude of 550 dpl, and UMM Biotek Laboratorium, on May 2nd, 2008 to September 2nd, 2008. This research used RAK Split Plot with 3 times repetation with : Main Compartment of shelter : N0 ( without shelter ), N1 ( first shelter layer equal with 20 % ), N2 ( second shelter layer equal with 40 % ), N3 ( third shelter layer equal with 60% ). Secunder Compartment, Isolate Types : I0 ( without isolate ), I1 ( isolate from teak tree with kaba variety ), I2 ( isolate from sengon with wilis variety ), I3 ( isolate from orange with anjasmoro variety ), I4 ( isolate from mengkudu with anjasmoro variety ). The data analysis used F test, with T=5%, then continued with T=5% if the treatment is changing. The result showed that the treatment of shelter gives significant influence toward observation variable of the highest plant, wider leaf, low chorofil level, the lightest of leaf and root, but for Bradyrhizobium japonicum isolates have no significant influence toward variable observations of the growth, and also harvest observation.
