Abstract

Learning media could help in achieving success in education and teaching in school, especially in Indonesia. Various media could be used to support learning and teaching process, especially math, they were: (1) model tool; (2) internet; and (3) Power Point. These three media gave variance in Math learning so that the process wouldn’t be monotone. The research aimed to: (1) student’s activity along learning process using media (model tool, Internet, and Power Point) in Trigonometry learning of students in grade XI SMK Negeri I Batu High School and (2) from the three learning media (model tool, Internet, and Power Point) fit with Trigonometry lesson to study completion of students in Grade XI SMK Negeri I Batu High School. Approach in the research was qualitative and research kind was descriptive consisted of explanation in research. Subjects were students of grade XI Hotel Accomodation program 1 (Aph 1), Hotel Accomodation 2 (Aph 2), and skin and hair health (beauty) in SMK Negeri 1 Batu High School. Data analysis technique were student’s activity and student’s completion. From student’s activity, there seemed that student’s activity in first meeting was the highest student’s activity was grade XI beauty program by using power point with 75.42% percentage. In second meeting, the highest student’s activity was grade XI Aph 1 program using internet media, which reached 76.67%. From student’s activity there could be condlcuded that student’s activity in grade XI Aph 1, Aph2, and beauty program had good criterion. While seen from student’s completion in individual, learning media fit with trigonometry learning was model tool in grade XI APh 2 program. The proper efforts were: (1)media could be alternative from school to use media in math learning; (2) for teacher, media should be fit with material taught so that the media usage could be optimum; (3) for the next writer. The research could be reference for similar research and could use learning media in optimum by well learning model.
