Abstract
PT. Tenun Pelangi Company is a company in the garment sector, which produces several types of products such as cotton sarong, teteron sarong, and silk sarong. This problem of this company is shortage or excess production, master production scheduling is aimed at obtaining the appropriate master production scheduling in determining production. From this problem the first step is forcasting demand for six periods in the future with Excel program. The result of forecasting demand is used which has the smallest MAD value. The next step is planning agregat which transportation method and using LINDO software assistance. After getting the optimal solution then it is made the preparation of master production schedule in order to anticipate the excess or shortage of demand. From calculating of data that has been done after applying the transportation methodit can be known, the production of PT. Tenun Pelangi Company from January 2010 to June 2010 is not shortage and the excess production. Keywords: Forcasting, Aggregate Planning, Transportation Method, Master Production Schedule
