Abstract

Seeing the illicit circulation of narcotics which is increasingly widespread to almost all levels of society, the government makes new regulations contained in Law no. 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics. Narcotics and illegal drug crimes are transnational in nature, in which their distribution has taken advantage of developments in information technology and tackling these crimes in order to improve the morality and quality of human resources in Indonesia, especially for the nation's next generation. Efforts in terms of prevention for the sake of reducing criminal acts that occur in Indonesia must continue to be carried out so that narcotics crimes do not develop and the modes used by narcotics perpetrators do not continue to be used. In order to prevent the abuse and illicit trafficking of narcotics, the police have made various efforts to overcome this problem. However, the mode used by traffickers is always evolving, and the most frequently used mode is using a mine system. This study will discuss two related problem formulations, namely how are the efforts of the resort police in Malang city in tackling the illicit traffic of narcotics using the mine system mode and what are the obstacles faced by the resort police in Malang city in tackling the illicit traffic of narcotics using the mine system mode. The aim is to find out and examine how the efforts of the Malang city resort police in tackling the illicit traffic of narcotics using the mine system mode and to find out and examine what obstacles are faced by the Malang city resort police in tackling the sale and purchase transactions of narcotics using the mine system mode. This study uses an empirical juridical method with an approach, namely joint interviews with the Police located at the Malang City Resort Police.
