Abstract

Abstract. Students indicated to have low motivation is shown by the attitude of students during the learning process, not paying attention to the teacher during learning, chatting with friends, and not entering during learning. To increase student learning motivation requires support, one of which is the learning environment. The learning environment has a positive influence on the student learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of student perceptions of the learning environment on student motivation. The research design uses quantitative. The data collection method uses accidental sampling. The research subjects were 100 students aged 16-19 years. The measuring instrument used is a learning environment scale based on the type of learning environment and a learning motivation scale. Data analysis test using simple linear regression shows the influence of learning environment perception on learning motivation (β = 0.356; p = 0.000) which means there is an influence of learning environment perception on learning motivation.
