Research attitudes and mathematics achievement of students studying in the city of Malang MA aims to see the different attitudes toward mathematics among students in Malang MA; see the difference in attitudes towards mathematics among students with MA State MA student in the city of Malang Private and see the effect of attitudes toward mathematics achievement MA students studying mathematics in the city of Malang. In this study population grouped into strata and then random sampling taken for each strata. Of 13 MA in the city of Malang State 2 MA, 1 MA-based Muhammadiyah, and 10 MA-based Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). The MA X class students who serve as the research sample of X-grade students from the MA State 3 MA Muhammadiyah 1, Hidayatul Mubtadi'in MA, and MA Nurul Ulum semester 2008-2009. Students who made the object of study for each of the four MA also drawn at random is 55 MA State 3 students, 8 students Muhammadiyah 1 MA, 15 MA Hidayatul students and 25 students Mubtadi'in MA Nurul Ulum. Data collection techniques used are the documentation and questionnaire. Mathematics learning achievements obtained from the mathematical value of report cards semester 2008-2009 academic year and student attitudes toward mathematics derived from responses to the questionnaire students attitudes towards mathematics diadobsi of AMAS. The data analysis techniques to determine if there are differences in attitudes towards mathematics among students in Malang MA is the ANOVA test with a 5% error rate and obtained the conclusion that there was a significant difference in student attitudes MA in Malang to mathematics. Data analysis techniques to determine if there are differences in attitudes towards mathematics among students with MA State MA student in the city of Malang Private is an independent test error rate of 5% and obtained the result that the State Supreme Court student attitudes and student attitudes toward mathematics Private MA is different. While the data analysis techniques to see the influence of attitude toward mathematics with mathematics learning achievement MA students in the city of Malang by using regression tests. Studied mathematics achievement of students in the city of Malang MA influenced by attitudes toward mathematics of 39.4%. While the remaining can be influenced by other variables.
